Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)

Hydro-Klean has developed HAZWOPER training programs specifically for household hazardous waste facility personnel, emergency responders and heavy equipment operators.

We use the Hydro-Klean HOT Box (Hands-On-Training Simulator) to simulate emergency response situations in semi van trailers.  HAZWOPER training provides students with the "bill of lading" from the "truck driver" and prompts them to identify the hazards, select the proper personnel protective equipment, mitigate the release, package the cleanup materials and decontaminate the entry team. This exercise combines all of the topics discussed during the 40 hour course and allows students to demonstrate what they have learned.  Following the training session, the class goes through a debriefing to discuss what went well and what could have been better.

Hydro-Klean's training resources also include a one-quarter scale general service railroad tank car. The railroad tank car offers emergency responders an opportunity to understand tank car markings, practice grounding/bonding, plug/patch and product transfers. With the railcar trainer mounted on a flatbed trailer, we easily can transport it to your facility or event.

"Quick note to say thank you. It was obvious you've put a lot of thought and effort in preparing the HAZWOPER training. I won't hesitate to recommend your training to anyone."
