Health and Safety

At Hydro-Klean, safety always is the first priority. The safety of our employees starts with dedication and hard work. Hydro-Klean employs a professional Health & Safety Manager to work full-time on the health and safety aspects of our daily operations. This allows us to commit full attention to any safety issues or concerns that may come up. Our Health & Safety Manager also is an OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer, authorized to train in accordance with guidelines provided by the OSHA Training Institute.

In addition to regulations required by OSHA, Hydro-Klean manages a Loss Prevention and Control Plan of written standards. The content of this plan is the glue that holds our safety program together, from policy and procedure to training.

We perform employee training both internally and externally. Our employees receive more than 80 hours of skilled training within their first six months of employment and more than 20 hours of skilled refresher training on a yearly basis. Included in the training at Hydro-Klean are 24-hour confined space entry, 40-hour HAZWOPER, first aid and CPR classes, OSHA 10 hour training and many other subjects taught on a monthly basis.

Hydro-Klean employees are equipped with the best personal protective equipment (PPE). for the eyes, face, head and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices (including self-contained breathing apparatus) and protective shields and barriers.

Hydro-Klean will uphold its position as a safety leader by promoting environmental, health and safety excellence. Our Experience Modification Ratio (EMR) always is below average as is our OSHA recordable incident rate. Our partnership with OSHA and our record speak for themselves.
